Peer Review Process

The Journal of Geography and Agrarian Innovations applies a rigorous and transparent peer review process to ensure the scientific quality, originality, and academic integrity of all published articles.

All submitted manuscripts undergo a structured editorial and peer review procedure in accordance with international academic publishing standards.

1. Initial Editorial Screening

Upon submission, manuscripts are first evaluated by the editorial office. At this stage, the manuscript is checked for:

  • relevance to the journal’s aims and scope;
  • compliance with submission guidelines;
  • academic writing quality and clarity;
  • structural completeness;
  • ethical compliance.

Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected without external review.

2. Double-Blind Peer Review

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent for double-blind peer review. In this process, both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to ensure objectivity and impartiality.

Each manuscript is typically evaluated by at least two independent experts in the relevant field.

3. Review Criteria

Reviewers assess manuscripts based on the following criteria:

  • scientific originality and novelty;
  • methodological soundness;
  • clarity and coherence of presentation;
  • relevance to the journal’s scope;
  • validity of results and conclusions.
4. Editorial Decision

Based on the reviewers’ reports, one of the following decisions may be made:

  • acceptance without revision;
  • acceptance with minor revisions;
  • major revisions required;
  • rejection.

Authors are expected to revise their manuscripts in accordance with reviewer comments and submit a detailed response to each point raised.

5. Revision and Re-evaluation

Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers for further evaluation. Additional rounds of review may be conducted where necessary.

6. Final Decision

The final decision regarding publication is made by the Editor-in-Chief or the editorial board based on reviewer recommendations and editorial judgment.

The decision of the editorial office is final.

7. Confidentiality

All manuscripts are treated as confidential documents. Reviewers and editors must not disclose any information about submitted manuscripts to third parties.

8. Ethical Standards

The journal follows international ethical standards in scholarly publishing. Any form of plagiarism, data falsification, or unethical behavior will result in rejection of the manuscript.
